Sheltered and naive, Theo Eldridge hitchhikes
to Midville "City" with dreams of becoming
a big-time reporter.

To his farmtown eyes, the urbn sprawl of
Midville becomes a metropolis glimmering with
journalistic gold.
After Theo befriends wannabe drifter Dennis "Pachey" DeGova,
the two embark on an against-all-odds quest
for front page news amidst an eccentric cast of chracters.
